Dr. Jill Quilici

Research Advisor

As a research advisor, Jill Quilici is a fundamental part of what makes the Applied Decision Making Lab a successful research lab. Dr. Quilici received her B.A. in Psychology and Mathematics at California State University, Chico in 1992. After receiving her bachelor’s degree, Dr. Quilici completed her masters and Ph.D in Psychology from University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) in 1994 and 1997. She joined CSUN faculty in 1997 and has been a faculty member for more than 20 years. She specializes in cognition, decision making, problem solving, expertise, knowledge representation, and analogical reasoning. Dr. Quilici also teaches courses in statistics, cognitive psychology, and research methods. The current courses she teaches are PSY 320/L, PSY 367, and PSY 581.

Krisha Regmi 

Graduate Research Assistant 

Krisha is a second year graduate student in the masters in Clinical Psychology program here at CSUN. Krisha’s research interests include primarily working with children and helping others become more aware of safe and healthy choices. She wants to help others become more aware and encourage more individuals that vaccines are safe! Krisha intends to apply to doctoral programs this fall for a doctorate in Clinical Psychology specializing in working with children with autism. Krisha is a recent addition to the team, but she is already making invaluable contributions toward our research goals.

Sonia Avila Contreras

Graduate Research Assistant 

Sonia is a first year graduate student in the masters in Psychological Sciences program here at CSUN. Sonia joined the lab because she is interested in health psychology, specifically eating habits. She hopes to gain knowledge about statistical measures and analyses, as well as presenting data to others in a professional manner. Sonia's future career goals are to earn a PhD in General Psychology or Health Psychology! Sonia is new to the lab, but she is already helping out with multiple research activities.

Tyler Tulman

Graduate Research Assistant

Tyler is a first year graduate student in the masters in Clinical Psychology program here at CSUN. Tyler hopes to gain valuable insights regarding vaccination decision making, efficiency in writing manuscripts and/or proposals, and overall knowledge on the road to finalizing important research for the field of psychology. Tyler's future career goals include continuing her education to a doctoral degree and eventually become a licensed psychologist that works with substance abuse or mentally ill populations. Tyler is a new addition to the lab and is already making a significant impact in the lab.

Luz Ruiz

Graduate Research Assistant

Luz is a graduate student at CSUN working on a teaching credential. She is currently working on a long term project for reading comprehension that involves cognitive processes such as knowledge  transfer in a multilingual field as well as decision making to move into a multicultural environment. Luz joined the lab because she hopes to keep learning on the process from set up to develop an investigation as well as improve statistical skills. Luz has been an active member of the lab for 3 years now and has been a making significant contributions!

Kierra Lillie

Research Assistant

Kierra graduated from CSUN in 2019 and is currently working full-time at Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD) as a Credentialing Coordinator! She joined the lab to gain experience in research, data collection, and data analysis! Kierra's future goals include going onto graduate school in regard to decision making and behavior in abuse/trauma victims. She hopes to obtain a PhD and start a nonprofit in low income communities to help abuse/trauma victims and their children. She has been an active member of the lab since 2018, and has been making significant contributions to help make the lab successful!

Zaina Amrin

Undergraduate Research Assistant 

Zaina is a fourth year undergraduate student here at CSUN. She joined the lab because she really enjoyed reading through the previous research Dr.Quilici has conducted in regards to healthy decision making and choices. Zaina hopes to learn more about conducting research, gain more research skills, and learn how to analyze different data sets. Zaina's future career goals include going onto graduate school and becoming a neuropsychologist and working in the medical field! Zaina is also a new addition to the lab, and is already making great contributions!

Victoria Fawcette

Undergraduate Research Assistant 

Victoria is a third year undergraduate student here at CSUN. She joined the lab because she loves the research projects that the lab is conducting! Victoria hopes to gain technical skills and hopes to learn more about how to conduct research with different types of people! After finishing her bachelor's degree she hopes to go onto graduate school in either Social or Cognitive Psychology and teach as a professor! Victoria has been an active member of the lab since May 2020 and has been working on significant amount of research duties and activities.

Adriana Vasquez

Undergraduate Research Assistant 

Adriana is a second year undergraduate transfer student here at CSUN. She joined the lab to gain research, data, and analysis skills! Adriana's research interests include learning how our cognition impacts our decision making. Adriana's future goals include to keep learning and conducting more research and finding new resources to help more individuals. Adriana has been an active member of the lab since Fall 2019, and has been making many significant contributions with multiple research projects!

Luis Villalobos

Undergraduate Research Assistant 

Luis is a fourth year undergraduate student here at CSUN! He joined the lab because he always wondered what factors go inside someone's psyche before the individual comes to terms with what they want. He hopes to gain skills in analyzing data and interpreting findings in an informative way so future studies can replicate the study. His future career goals include becoming a counseling psychologist in specialization in clinical mental health counseling. Luis is new to the lab and is making a a significant impact already!

Henry Aldana

Undergraduate Research Assistant

Henry is a fourth year undergraduate student here at CSUN. He joined the lab because he wants to hone his skills at formulating research, understanding data collection and interpretation as well. His research interests include better understanding of the physiological processes of the brain and neuroscience. Henry hopes to go onto graduate school after his undergraduate studies to learn more about research in psychology. Henry is the newest addition to the lab and he is already making great contributions to the team!
